Not everyone who is an expert in his field is also capable of delivering this knowledge to others.
Because delivering a class room training is a skill as well. Fortunately, it’s a skill you can learn.
When you learn this skill, make sure you know how to facilitate a class and not how to present to a class.
In this training you will learn how to interact with the class, where in the ‘old fashioned’ way you would be talking to them without knowing whether they understood or not.
During this training you will learn how to:
- Differentiate between facilitation and presentation
- Demonstrate skill and confidence in your ability to facilitate and present
- Apply facilitation basics
- Apply strategies to handle group dynamics
To master this you will learn about the use of your voice, body/eyes, how to handle nerves and how to maintain your personal style.
While working with your audience you will learn how to read your audience, how to add interactivity and how to stay neutral.
Since the ultimate goal is to facilitate the learner by giving clear instructions, focus on the key points, provide good feed back and by staying on time.
In short: you will learn to give an interactive and active class, where the participants learn by discovery.
If you do it well, most of the work is done by the students, not by you!
